S.F. woman to help lead California PTA

SAN FRANCISCO — San Francisco resident Carol Kocivar will become president-elect of the California PTA today. The current vice president of communications for the state education organization, Kocivar, an attorney, is also past president of the San Francisco PTA. She’s a special-education ombudsman for The City’s school district and also a radio host on KALW. Kocivar has two children who are graduates of The City’s public schools.
