UC System President Mark Yudof and California State University Chancellor Charles B. Reed are seeking more money to run the state’s public universities. Yudof says his 10-campus system needs an additional $913 million in state funding for the 2010-11 school year, while Reed’s 23-school operation needs $884 million. Those proposals would help UC San Francisco and San Francisco State operate.
