Agency says 'unresolved issues' in Presidio museum proposal

The controversial proposal to build an art museum and hotel on the historic grounds of the Presidio may have another hurdle to clear.

The chief of the Advisory Council on Historic Preservation — the federal agency that advises the president and the U.S. Congress on historic preservation — sent a letter to the National Park Service stating there are “unresolved issues” about the project and its potential impacts, according to the Presidio Historical Association.
