84-year-old man with dementia reported missing

SAN FRANCISCO — San Francisco police are asking for the public's help in locating an 84-year-old man who suffers from dementia.

Fu Niam Lin was last seen at about 8 a.m. this morning leaving his home in the unit block of Waverly Place in the city's Chinatown neighborhood, police said. He was reported missing tonight when he did not return home.

Lin is described as an Asian man, 5 feet 11 inches tall and 160 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black hat, brown jacket and black pants.

Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is asked to call the Police Department's operations center (415) 553-1071.
