Man injured after crashing vehicle into taqueria

OAKLAND — A man was injured this morning when he crashed his vehicle into a taqueria in Oakland, police said.

The crash was reported just after 2 a.m. at El Asadero taqueria on San Pablo Avenue near 28th Street, according to the Oakland Police Department. The driver of the vehicle was hospitalized and the restaurant building was heavily damaged.

The crash is under investigation, police said, as is the possibility that alcohol could have been a factor.
