Kim-Shree Maufas named school board president

New school: Kim-Shree Maufas has been named president of the San Francisco Unified School District.

SAN FRANCISCO — The San Francisco Unified School District board of education member Kim-Shree Maufas, elected in 2006, was named board president Tuesday night after being nominated by veteran trustee Jill Wynns. Jane Kim, also elected two years ago, was confirmed as the board’s vice president, following nominations from Hydra Mendoza and Sandra Fewer. There were no counternominations and both were elected unanimously by other board members.
