The figure skater and Emmy-winning choreographer’s most recent project was choreographing “100 Years of Magic,” her fifth Disney on Ice production. The show will be in the Bay Area through Oct. 28 — first at the Oracle Arena in Oakland from today through Sunday, then at the HP Pavilion in San Jose from Wednesday to Oct. 28.

How was “100 Years of Magic” different from your past productions?

I think it has the most number of Disney characters in one show. Bringing “It’s a Small World” to life was a special treat. It has large floats driven on the ice with the full cast representing countries from all around the world.

What were the biggest challenges?

Staying true to the character’s movement and making it skate all while being a Genie, for example. Having a chorus line of Genies can get confusing when there are formations of choreography.

What do you like about Disney On Ice?

Watching the children’s excitement when they step into the arena and knowing that more generations are continuing to experience the characters for their first time makes it all worthwhile.
