Sherri Franklin is the founder and executive director of Muttville Senior Dog Rescue.

Franklin is the founder and executive director of Muttville Senior Dog Rescue, a nonprofit organization in San Francisco that rescues senior dogs and finds them homes or hospice care. Muttville is participating in Take Your Dog to Work Day on Friday. For more information, visit www.muttville.org and www.takeyourdog.com.

What are your goals in participating in Take Your Dog to Work Day?

My hope is that businesses that allow dogs at work will speak up on how wonderful it is to have four-legged friends come to work in the office. Senior dogs are perfect because they are older and mellower, so they won’t go chew up the phone wires or make a mess.

What motivated you to want Muttville to participate?

It keeps people happier and the mood lighter, and the dogs love it! Muttville is really glad to celebrate Take Your Dog to Work Day.

What is next for Muttville?

We are gearing up for our big fundraiser on July 21 called Moolah for Mutts. It’s an evening of great fun and raises funds to help us save more lives.
