JEFF KENT

The former Giants second baseman will be part of the CBS reality TV series "Survivor: Philippines," which begins Sept. 19. Rumors of Kent’s inclusion on the show first surfaced in June, but were made a reality on Monday when the cast was officially announced. The 44-year-old Kent spent six of his 17 big-league seaons with the Giants. He finished with 377 career home runs and won the 2000 NL MVP award.

ROGER CLEMENS

The 50-year-old former big-league pitcher hasn’t said much since his most recent victory in the courtroom, but he’s planning to make another statement on the baseball field this weekend. Clemens, according to Fox 26 in Houston, signed with the Sugar Land Skeeters and will start Saturday’s game for the independent Atlantic League team. Clemens was acquitted of perjury charges in a federal case in June.
