Golden Gate Bridge 75th anniversary events

All events are free and open to the public. Major program venues include Crissy Field and Marina Green; additional locations are listed below. The bridge will be open to auto traffic only and there will be no bridge walk. For more details, visit goldengatebridge75.org/celebrate/golden-gate-festival.html.

Saturday

Presidio — Photography exhibit on military history at the bridge. [daytime, also Sunday]

Presidio — Free outdoor film night featuring “It Came From Beneath the Sea.” [6 p.m., Main Post Lawn across from 103 Montgomery St., S.F.]

Fort Mason Center — “The Golden Span: A Celebration of the Golden Gate Bridge” exhibit at SFMOMA Artists Gallery. [Through June 28.

11:30 a.m. to 5:30 a.m., Marina Boulevard and Buchanan Street, S.F.]

San Francisco Maritime National Historic Park — Tours aboard the Alma schooner, music, photo displays and vintage cars. [9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., 499 Jefferson St., S.F.]

Fisherman’s Wharf — Music, historic images, vintage automobiles and maritime history. [10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Hyde Street Pier and Pier 45, S.F.]

Fort Point — “International Orange” exhibition of bridge-inspired art. [Through October. 10 a.m. to5 p.m., end of Marine Drive, S.F.]

Presidio YMCA — YMCA bike trips to the bridge for youths. [Call (415) 447-9622 for details]

Sunday

Golden Gate Festival — Main activities at Fort Point, Crissy Field, the Presidio and Marina Green.  [11 a.m. to 11 p.m.]

Ghirardelli Square — Panel exhibit telling the story of the Golden Gate Bridge [11 a.m. to
10 p.m., 900 North Point St., S.F.]

San Francisco Maritime National Historic Park — Tours aboard the Alma schooner, music, photo displays and vintage cars. [9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., 499 Jefferson St., S.F.]

Pier 39 —  Music and dance festival highlighting the 1930s [11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Pier 39, S.F.]
