President Barack Obama visited San Francisco on Thursday for a series of fundraising events related to his 2012 re-election campaign.

After Air Force One touched down at San Francisco International Airport at 12:39 p.m., the president surprised patrons of the Great Eastern Restaurant by dropping in for some dim sum. He also was set to attend receptions at the Mark Hopkins Intercontinental Hotel, the Nob Hill Masonic Center and a private home in Pacific Heights.
