San Francisco police lifted a shelter-in-place warning issued late Monday night in San Francisco’s Pacific Heights neighborhood after “some type of problem with a PG&E electrical unit,” according to police.

Emergency officials initially reported a “natural gas issue” in the 3100 block of Pacific Avenue, near Lyon Street, but now are working to repair an electrical issue this morning, police said.

According to a fire dispatcher, a transformer broke and there were also issues with an underground electrical vault in the area, which appeared to have led to a power outage.

PG&E is still working in the area but roads have opened, according to emergency officials. Police had been assisting with traffic control before roads opened just after midnight.

A PG&E spokeswoman said that utility crews were responding to the area and that an outage was reported in the area at 10:06 p.m. Monday.

The outage was affecting 332 customers in the area as of 11 p.m. and a time of restoration was not immediately available.
