Clouds are expected to swing through the Bay Area today, bringing with them the chance of rain, but the skies will clear for the rest of the weekend — including New Year’s Eve.
The skies today will be mostly cloudy and there is a 20 percent chance of rain, according to the National Weather Service.
The front will move through in time to bring dry conditions to the region for New Year’s revelry.
Sunny skies will prevail Saturday, with temperatures in San Francisco forecast to reach into the low 60s. New Year’s Eve will have partly cloudy skies with temperatures in the mid-40s.
Though some clouds will linger through Sunday and Monday, the forecast is for dry conditions with temperatures climbing to the mid-60s on New Year’s Day.
