A seagull flew into a power line Wednesday morning, causing thousands in the South of Market neighborhood of San Francisco to lose power.
PG&E reported the outage just before 10 a.m., saying that 2,400 customers had lost power.
The utility later announced that the power outage was due to a seagull making contact with an overhead line.
Power was restored shortly after the outage.
