The San Francisco Medical Examiner has identified the pedestrian who was fatally struck by a vehicle Monday night as Sulpicio Jimenez, 57, of Daly City.

Jimenez was not in the crosswalk when he was hit by a northbound car at Mission at Excelsior streets around 7 p.m., police said Tuesday.

Jimenez was taken to San Francisco General Hospital, where he died, according to police.

The driver of the car was not arrested.
