Caltrain was halted for nearly 30 minutes in San Francisco on Thursday morning while firefighters battled a debris fire near the tracks.

Around 9:40 a.m., the fire department responded to a call about a three-foot pile of debris that was blazing under the freeway at Seventh and 16th streets, fire spokeswoman Lt. Mindy Talmadge said.

Fire crews halted Caltrain service in the area while they battled the fire. The fire was soon under control and train service resumed at 10:06 a.m., Talmadge said.

No one was injured. It was not immediately known if arson was the cause.
