Thousands of opera lovers are expected to head to AT&T Park Sunday afternoon for a live simulcast of a San Francisco Opera performance of Puccini's 'Turandot.'

The production at the War Memorial Opera House will be transmitted to AT&T Park's Mitsubishi Electric Diamond Vision Scoreboard, which is approximately 103-feet wide, according to organizers.

Fans are invited to picnic on the baseball field or in the stands, and the event features a variety of family oriented activities, including art projects, face painting and storytelling.

The free event was attended by 32,000 spectators last year, organizers said.

The National Anthem will be performed at about 1:50 p.m., and the opera performance is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m.
