Summer has finally come to San Francisco.
According to the National Weather Service, the fog that has blanketed The City for the past few months will remain off the coast for the rest of the week, which means blue skies and higher temperatures.
“It’ll be around for a little while,” forecaster Diana Henderson said. “It’s going to be sunny for the week before it tapers off.”
Monday’s high of 83 will likely be the hottest day of the week, Henderson said, but temperatures will remain in the mid-70s through Friday.
It wasn’t a record, even though it may have felt like it.
“We’d have to reach triple digits before reaching any records,” Henderson said. “It’s just uncomfortable for now.”
Clouds will return and patchy fog will blanket The City in the mornings starting this weekend, Henderson said.
Currently, an offshore breeze is helping keep the fog away.
