Firefighters extinguish blaze at juvenile detention center in San Francisco

Firefighters responded to a one-alarm fire at a San Francisco juvenile detention center.

The blaze was reported at the Juvenile Probation Department Youth Guidance Center, located at 375 Woodside Ave., at 8:09 p.m. Tuesday evening, a fire dispatcher said.

The fire started in the kitchen and was extinguished by 8:25 p.m.

The cause of the fire was not immediately known and no one was injured in the blaze.
