Flights between San Francisco International Airport and parts of the East Coast continued to be cancelled Sunday as now-Tropical Storm Irene continues to pummel the Eastern Seaboard with heavy winds and rain.
Airport Duty Manager Larry Mares said Sunday morning that 41 flights to the East Coast, and approximately an equal number of arrivals, were cancelled.
On Saturday, then-Hurricane Irene forced 39 flights to the East Coast to be cancelled, Mares said.
The massive storm has been blamed for more than a dozen deaths and has left millions without power.
