BART train service has resumed at the Richmond Station after reports of a person on the tracks.

A drunk man fell onto the tracks Wednesday afternoon temporarily shutting down service, BART officials said.

Passengers helped lift the inebriated man from the tracks, and BART police also responded, according to BART officials.

The station was first reported to be closed due to police activity and was shut down for 10 minutes because of the incident.

Trains are moving again but riders should expect residual delays.
