A three-car crash in San Francisco's Crocker Amazon neighborhood sent four people to the hospital with severe injuries this afternoon, according to the fire department.

The crash happened near the intersection of Geneva Avenue and Prague Street at about 1:10 p.m., firefighter Al Posey said.

Posey didn't know how the crash happened but said the four victims were taken to San Francisco General Hospital with significant injuries.

A police spokesman wasn't immediately available to provide details.
