UPDATE: 3- alarm Mission district fire burning, SFFD responding to scene

A 3-alarm fire is being fought in the Mission neighborhood.

The blaze, which began around 8:10 p.m. is located near Mission and 29th street, according to San Francisco Fire dispatch.

It is not known if there are injuries or how many people are affected by the fire. The cause is also unknown.

The San Francisco Police Department is assisting with traffic control. Mission Street from Cesar Chavez to 30th Street is closed.
