What could be more entertaining than watching seven hours of former Mayor Gavin Newsom on YouTube, more inspirational than learning of Newsom’s latest initiative in 140 characters or less, more delightful than perusing Newsom’s 180-photo gallery on Facebook?
The answer may lie in the pages of a new book Newsom is writing about the intersection of social media and government. It’s his first big writing project and is expected to come out at the end of 2013 when he’ll most likely be making a run for governor.
“This solution-driven book suggests that we are at the dawn of a revolutionary change in the way government and the people interact,” reads a press release from Penguin Press, which inked a deal with Newsom for the book.
It’s anyone's guess how many pages the prolific former mayor can pump out, but we assume that in order to save trees the book will be available on Kindle and iPad.
