District 8 Supervisor Scott Wiener is introducing a resolution at Tuesday’s Board of Supervisors meeting supporting a plan to increase the number of taxis on the streets during peak demand periods. A pilot program approved by the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency and opposed by cab drivers would add taxi permits for cabs that operate only during peak times.
