Two bomb-sniffing dogs were working overtime Under the Dome on Tuesday after someone called in a threat to the City Attorney’s Office.
A disturbing phone call about a device came in around noon, according to Eileen Hirst, spokeswoman for the Sheriff’s Department. The brief call prompted sheriff’s deputies to explore the hallways of the second floor of City Hall with the two dogs.
The dogs sniffed around for a while but found no threat, said Hirst, who would not repeat the 10-word phone call that prompted the search.
The City Attorney’s Office confirmed that the call came in to their office.
