One person was killed when a speeding car crashed into a parked truck in San Francisco’s Bayview District on Wednesday evening, a police spokesman said Thursday.
The crash happened shortly after 7:30 p.m. near Revere Avenue and Griffith Street.
A gold Saturn station wagon was traveling at a “high rate of speed” when it went out of control and slammed into a parked truck, police Officer Albie Esparza said.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene, and three other people were taken to San Francisco General Hospital with injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening, he said.
The crash remains under investigation.
