Hundreds of San Franciscans braved the rain and descended on Justin Herman Plaza on Monday night to participate in the annual pillow fight in The City. The event attracts folks from miles around to participate.

When asked what makes the Valentines Day event fun,  University of San Francisco student Thessaly Guandique said, “’Cause  it’s raining and it’s a pillow fight.”

Wearing bright orange vests -- one that said “Follow me to the” and the other saying “Pillow Fight” -- Ethan Wittenburg and Matt Riggins traveled from Orinda to beat each other silly with puffy pods.
