Firefighters extinguish blazes in Mission, Diamond Heights

Firefighters extinguished two separate single-alarm fires in San Francisco on Sunday morning, a dispatcher said.

The first was reported when a vehicle caught fire in a garage at 2361 Mission St. at around 9:05 a.m., according to the San Francisco Fire Department.

No one was injured in the fire and it was declared under control at 9:25 a.m., the dispatcher said.

A second fire was reported in the city's Diamond Heights neighborhood at around 9:10 a.m.

Units responded to a home in the 300 block of Marietta Drive where fire had broken out a wall behind a fireplace, the dispatcher said.

Firefighters put out the fire in about 20 minutes.

No one was injured and the home was still habitable.

Both fires were under investigation.
