19th Avenue lane closures planned this week

The California Department of Transportation has announced various lane closures between today and Friday as part of the state Highway 1 Traffic Signal Upgrade Project.

The project will include lane closures along Highway 1, or 19th Avenue, at Lincoln Way, Eucalyptus Drive, Holloway Avenue and Junipero Serra Boulevard so that crews can install electrical conduit as part of an effort to upgrade the existing traffic signal system, according to Caltrans.

Southbound lane closures will take place between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. and northbound lane closures will be in effect between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Caltrans is advising commuters to take alternative routes between those times and delays are expected.
