Paul Stanley of Kiss says it’s absurd the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame has snubbed the band in light of the “acts and artists who cite us as an inspiration.”

Kiss is tired of being dissed by the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame … sort of.

“I don’t need the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame,” band frontman Paul Stanley said. But he admits that consistently being overlooked by the music elite kind of sucks.

“It’s absurd for anybody to look around and hear the acts and artists who cite us as an inspiration, and then tell me we are not in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame,” he told The Huffington Post.

He makes a good point. Kiss was called a “comic book band” by Aerosmith singer Steven Tyler and was consistently lumped in with most other so-called sucky musical things from the 1970s, like disco. (Oh, wait, Donna Summer was posthumously inducted this year.)

“I’m not here to make converts,” Stanley said. “I think that people who choose not to see things, I’m not missing their adoration.”
