Judd Apatow not pleased with First Lady

Judd Apatow wants Melania Trump to be better — or to do anything at all.

Amid controversy over thousands of children being held in detention centers after being ripped away from their parents, the First Lady offered a vague tweet about the immigration issues her husband has spent days railing about on Twitter.

“A great visit with the King & Queen of Spain at the White House today,” Trump tweeted along with a photo of the double date. “Queen Letizia & I enjoyed tea & time together focusing on the ways we can positively impact children.”

Apatow, however, wasn’t having it.

“You are part of an evil regime. You support evil with your silence,” he tweeted. “You could have a major impact if you spoke your mind but you allow children to suffer by putting out pointless statements which request no hard changes. Shame on you.”

President Trump and Attorney General Jeff Sessions’ “zero tolerance” policy has left more than 2,300 children separated from their parents after crossing the southern border, according to the Department of Homeland Security. Late Tuesday, The Associated Press reported that babies and toddlers are being held in “tender age” shelters in South Texas.

In a rare statement Sunday, the First Lady offered a similarly actionless message.

“Mrs. Trump hates to see children separated from their families and hopes both sides of the aisle can finally come together to achieve successful immigration reform,” her communications director, Stephanie Grisham, told CNN. “She believes we need to be a country that follows all laws, but also a country that governs with heart.”

Apatow, a Flushing, Queens, N.Y., native, is routinely outspoken against the administration. This week he has also taken aim at Fox News’ coverage of Trump’s immigration policy.

“I haven’t worked with Fox since 2002. That family promotes evil ideas and greed and corruption. We all choose who to work with. I understand why that is easier for some than others but many powerful people are powerful enough to speak up to their bosses at a moment like this,” he tweeted Monday.

“[Sessions] is a f — king kidnapper! The Murdochs support these policies! Where are the Fox stars and executives speaking up?! Imagine if it was your kids. Who has a movie, TV show, sporting event, news show at Fox? How can you remain silent when they promote these policies?”

Even Oprah Winfrey’s money is breaking records.
The media mogul cracked the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, a ranking of the 500 richest people in the world, which was released Monday. Her fortune hit $4 billion, making her the first black woman on the list.
The 64-year-old icon built her legacy — and her wealth — on the “Oprah Winfrey Show” and her cable network, OWN. Her latest bump comes from her shares in Weight Watchers, which has pushed her up an extra $427 million this year alone, according to Bloomberg.
She also just signed a multiyear deal with Apple, which plans to spend $1 billion on original content in an arms race with Netflix, Amazon and Hulu.
Winfrey currently holds the No. 494 spot on the Bloomberg Billionaires list, coming in behind Mark Cuban and Ross Perot. The top 500 richest people now include 65 women and just six female entrepreneurs.

Singer Lana Del Rey is 33 … Actor Jussie Smollett (”Empire”) is 36 … Actress Juliette Lewis is 45 … Guitarist Nils Lofgren is 67.
