Hit-and-run in SoMa leaves pedestrian with life threatening injuries

A hit-and-run occurred shortly after 11 p.m. at Fifth and Bluxome last night, leaving a pedestrian with serious injuries.

According to SFPD, the driver hit a 56-year-old man as he was crossing the street. The car subsequently fled the scene, heading northbound on Fifth.

The victim was transported to the hospital with life threatening injuries.
