“150 years,” special section, June 11
Congratulations on the Examiner’s sesquicentennial, and thank you for your commemorative special section celebrating your newspaper’s storied history.
I especially enjoyed your retrospective “150 years of shaping history”; your features about the Great Earthquake and Fire of 1906; writers Mark Twain and Jack London; and Boudin Bakery (my wife and I had our first date at the Boudin Bakery & Cafe on Market Street); and your look back at “The City’s rich sports history,” recalling the championship moments of the 49ers, Giants and Warriors as they were reported in the Examiner.
Best of luck to the Monarch of the Dailies on the next 150 years!
