‘We’re all going through something’ — Kerr praises Love for Players’ Tribune essay

OAKLAND — Before the Golden State Warriors hosted the Brooklyn Nets, Steve Kerr spoke eloquently on Kevin Love’s Players’ Tribune essay, which highlighted the Cleveland Cavaliers star’s struggles with panic attacks and mental health.

“I admire his willingness to talk about something that is an issue for a lot of people,” Kerr said during his pregame press conference. “So, I’m sure his reasoning was to try and help others who are going through something similar.”

Love revealed that he had a panic attack during the third quarter of a November loss to the Atlanta Hawks.

“I think what Kevin said was — that I read the article this morning — I thought what he said, that meant the most to me [was], ‘We’re all going through something.’ It’s true. We’re all human beings. We all have our own stories. We all have our own lives and nobody’s is perfect.”
