San Francisco firefighters extinguished a blaze at two two-story home in the Sunset District on Thursday morning that left four residents displaced.

Firefighters responded to the one-alarm fire shortly after 8 a.m. on 31st Avenue between Rivera and Quintara streets.

The fire damaged two homes at 2151 and 2147 31st Ave. The American Red Cross responded to assist the four displaced residents.

Four people, including two children, were evaluated by medics at the scene.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
