Four injured when big rig hits Muni streetcar downtown

Four people were injured in a collision between a Muni F line car and a Fedex semi truck near downtown San Francisco on Friday afternoon.

All four of the victims sustained non-life threatening injuries and were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment, according to San Francisco Fire Department spokesperson Jonathan Baxter.

The collision occurred at 3:59 p.m. outbound between 7th and 8th streets and Market Street. According to a spokesperson for the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency, roads were cleared and all Muni lines resumed regular service by 5:20 p.m.
