A man was arrested Tuesday for allegedly hurling a footstool at a woman’s face in a Richmond district spat, police said.
The woman suffered a fractured eye socket in the attack in the 400 block of 28th Avenue. Staff treating the woman at St. Mary’s Hospital reported the incident to police around 8:30 p.m.
The 31-year-old man had been arguing with the 56-year-old woman prior to the attack, police said. Their relationship was not disclosed. The suspect drove the woman to hospital before being arrested.
The woman also suffered a laceration above the eye, though her injuries were not life threatening, police said.
