Firefighters rescue person stuck on rocks in San Francisco Bay

A woman was rescued from San Francisco Bay on Sunday night after she was found stuck on some rocks in the water, fire officials said on social media.

At 9:10 p.m. fire officials reported on Twitter that firefighters in Fireboat Station 35 were in their quarters when they heard and then located someone in distress.

Fire officials said the woman was stuck on some rocks in the Bay near the Waterbar, a restaurant at 399 The Embarcadero.

Firefighters rescued the woman, and she was taken to a hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening.

Fire officials said they don’t know why she was on the rocks but after being rescued she was recovering well.
