Kepcher, who worked as chief operating officer of two of Trump’s golf courses for many years, often sat to the left of her self-promoting, bad-hair-having boss on the NBC reality show and said things like "You made the right choice" and "Good decision."
Trump spokesman Jim Dowd told The New York Post that "Mr. Trump wishes her the best." Of course, the Trump-to-English dictionary translates that as, "It was the best decision in the entire world. No one makes better decisions than me."
Dowd didn’t offer up reasons for the dismissal, but sources told the Post that Kepcher was more interested in making herself a star than doing her job. Since the show took off in 2004, Kepcher has had speaking engagements around the country, made a number of talk-show appearances and even wrote a book, "Carolyn 101."
Hey, Carolyn, if you want your job back, perhaps you should try out for "The Apprentice."
Even Rosie is over Tom Cruise
OK, so this is weird: Rosie O’Donnell says she has a crush on "Nip/Tuck" star Julian McManhon.
The gay comic, who used to be obsessed with Tom Cruise, said she started crushin’ on McManhon after her guest appearance on his FX drama.
"I fell in love with Julian while taping an episode for the show," O’Donnell wrote on her blog, according to Life & Style Extra. "I still love my old Tommy, but Julian is gorgeous — he’s my new Tommy!"
Look for McManhon to begin jumping on couches and preaching the evils of anti-depressants soon.
Orlando Bloom has said no to The Hoff!
"Lord of the Rings" star Orlando Bloom was offered the role of David Hasselhoff’s son in the upcoming big-screen remake of "Knight Rider," but in a very smart career move, turned it down. A serious actor should never make a movie with a talking car … not a live-action movie anyway.
"[Hasselhoff] heard I was a big fan of the old show and said, ‘We’re doing a movie version and I’d love you to play my son in it.’ I replied, ‘Er, well, that sounds great but you’d need to speak to my manager about it,’" Bloom told ContactMusic.com. "I used to watch ‘Knight Rider’ when I was 8 but I didn’t like it more than any other series. My favorites were ‘The Fall Guy’ and ‘The A-Team.’"
We pity the fool if he turns down Mr. T’s offer to play his son in "The A-Team" movie.
John gets the thumbs up from Jessica’s father
Jessica Simpson is in love.
The singer-wannabe-actress is telling all her friends and family that she has fallen for singer-songwriter John Mayer.
"She’s head over heels," an insider told People magazine. "She’s telling friends, ‘I’m in love.’"
Simpson, who is on vocal rest right now, and her father, Joe, attended Mayer’s conert in New York on Wednesday night. Witnesses say during the song "Gravity," oh-so-dreamy Mayer sang to his new lady love, who was sitting with the sound crew stage left. Sigh.
Thankfully, the hot new couple has the blessing of Simpson’s control-freak father, which we suspect Simpson’s ex, Nick Lachey, never had.
"I love John Mayer," Joe told People magazine on Tuesday. "I love his music. I love his talent. … If my daughter’s happy, then I’m happy. And if she finds love, then I’m in love with the fact that she finds happiness. It’s been a tough year for her. A lot of disappointment. And my greatest joy as a father is to see my baby be happy."
