Foul play? The death of champion dog Polar Mist Cruz’N T’Party At Zamosky, aka Cruz, is being called suspicious by its handler.

A dog that competed at this year’s Westminster dog show died days later from strange circumstances, and its handler is crying foul. Could someone have poisoned him?

RadarOnline reports that a champion Samoyed named Polar Mist Cruz’N T’Party At Zamosky, aka Cruz, went paws-up four days later at another show in Colorado on Feb. 16 after vomiting up blood and suffering internal hemorrhaging. Cruz was cremated before a necropsy could be completed, but handler Robert Chaffin is suspicious of an animal-rights activist at the Westminster who was “scowling” at him.

His veterinarian told The New York Times that dogs “make bad decisions” and he could’ve just eaten the wrong thing.
