As we reported Thursday, Too $hort was popped in Hollywood on Wednesday for suspected DUI, running from police and possession of narcotics.

LAPD claims that he dumped his drugs in the backseat of the cruiser, and an officer told TMZ that the substance was most likely meth. However, other sources say it was Ecstasy laced with meth.

$hort’s rep says he was thoroughly searched before he got into the “disgustingly filthy patrol car,” which also smelled like puke, and the fuzz had found nothing on him. Ergo, the drugs were already in the backseat when he got there, obviously dumped by a former arrestee.

Since he’s been charged with felony drug possession, you can bet that will be his defense. Meanwhile, TMZ posted a funny video of him running from the po-po that night.
