In the grand spirit of “King Lear,” Sachi Parker has penned an ungrateful tell-all book about her eccentric mother, Shirley MacLaine.
According to the New York Daily News, MacLaine was a “miserable, mercurial” parent who was barely around, wouldn’t pay for her daughter’s college education and pressured her into having sex right out of high school. Mommy dearest is not happy about her portrayal.
“It’s virtually all fiction,” MacLaine said in a statement quoted in the Daily News. “I’m sorry to see such a dishonest, opportunistic effort.
“It’s a painful moment for me as a mother.”
