The man whose life with his wife was the focus of the documentary “The Queen of Versailles” has had his defamation lawsuit against the filmmakers thrown out, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The film detailed timeshare mogul David Siegel’s quest to build the world’s biggest McMansion in Florida. Halfway through filming, however, the economy tanked and the movie became a peek inside the crumbling life of the businessman.
Siegel was not amused. “Tough cookies,” said a judge, to paraphrase.
