Rats. Well, his character got bags of rocks for Halloween and barren, twiggy branches for Christmas, so it stands to reason that the guy who voiced Charlie Brown back in the 1960s could one day run afoul of the law.
According to the New York Daily News, Peter Robbins — who provided the somber, wishy-washy voice of Peppermint Patty’s Chuck in “The Great Pumpkin” and “A Charlie Brown Christmas” — was arrested near San Diego on Sunday and is due to be arraigned for allegedly “making a threat to cause death or great bodily injury” and stalking.
Good grief.
Seriously, this is a bad time for children’s TV characters.
