Connecticut authorities have denied parole to Michael Skakel, nephew of Ethel Kennedy, who was convicted in 2002 of murdering Bay Area native Martha Moxley. In 1975, Moxley was found bludgeoned to death in Greenwich, Ct., with a golf club that was traced to the Skakel family. Skakel has been portrayed as a sadistic, sexually disturbed child of privilege who saw himself as being above the law. Not so, says Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Skakel’s cousin, who feels Michael was wrongly convicted and that evidence points to the family’s tutor, Kenneth Littleton.
Time published a quote from Littleton in 2002, after he allegedly confessed to his wife about the murder during a bender. "Um, I was, had, been drinking heavily, was psychotic ... It's kind of frightening. This is when I said 'I did it.'”
THROWN UNDER THE SHORT BUS
Representatives from the Special Olympics say they have twice asked Ann Coulter to refrain from using the word “retard.” She seems to have taken it to heart, because her next Tweet included the phrase “retarded” instead:
“Obama: ‘Stage 3 Romneysia’ – because cancer references are HILARIOUS. If he's ‘the smartest guy in the room’ it must be one retarded room.”
The American Cancer Society is no doubt tripping over itself to get T-shirts made with the blond humanitarian’s quote.
COCAINE IN HOLLYWOOD? NOOOOOOOO!
Where there’s smoke, there’s fire, and where there’s significant white powder residue, there must be a Hostess factory or a gigantic pile of cocaine nearby. When co-workers refer to you as “Cokey the Clown” and “Power Donut Man,” they probably suspect your drug use.
According to a story on THR, Alex Frisch, a special effects supervisor known for his work on “The Pirates of the Caribbean” films, loves the stuff, though he adamantly denies accusations he snorts booger-sugar.
Nonetheless, a jury awarded $450,000 to Andrew MacDonald, his former employee at Ascent Media Group, for “wrongful termination” he said stemmed from blowing the whistle on Frisch’s alleged “open and notorious drug use at the office during work hours.”
