If you’ve been consumed with the royal pregnancy watch since Prince William and Kate Middleton got married, you may need to wait a little longer. (Also, you may need to get out of the house more often.)
A biographer of the British beauty now known as Catherine, duchess of Cambridge, tells the Mail that the London Olympics, the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee and travel commitments have motivated the newlyweds to put off producing offspring for at least another year.
“Realistically, there is not going to be time for a baby, and they have said they are in no hurry. There is no urgent need for an heir — we already have two,” a source reportedly explained, referring to Prince Charles’ two sons, William and Harry.
True that! Let Wills and Kate take their time and enjoy married life for a while before starting a family. (Not that we wouldn’t be totally excited about an announcement of a royal bun in the oven!)
Kelly: Trust Me
Kelly Clarkson doesn’t have a problem with people thinking she’s gay — but she does have a problem with people thinking she’s not honest.
“I don’t think it’s harmful at all,” the single singer reportedly told the Mirror of lesbian rumors. “But I just don’t know why people think I am. I never kiss women. I find it funny.
“Also, I’m such a vocal person, I’ve never hidden much. So I don’t understand why they don’t take me on my word,” the former “American Idol” winner pointed out. “I find that a little bit annoying. But if people think I’m gay, I don’t really care.”
Kelly makes two very good points: It wouldn’t matter at all if she was gay ... but why shouldn’t people believe her if she says she’s not?
Octavia: Weighty Issues
Octavia Spencer is shaping up as an awards season darling after pulling in both the Golden Globe and the SAG award for best supporting actress in “The Help.” But the star revealed she is concerned about her body after pulling in the SAG on Sunday night.
“I am not healthy at this weight,” Octavia said, per People magazine. “Anytime you have too much around the middle, then there is a problem. [And] when you reach a certain weight, you are less valuable.”
But that doesn’t mean she approves of the Hollywood culture of super-skinny leading ladies.
“If more women ate, they would be a lot happier,” the breakout star declared. “Let me tell you, I am a lot grumpier when I don’t eat.”
Well, yeah, of course — who isn’t?
