Let’s be honest: Nobody really expected Kim Kardashian’s wedding to be anything but over-the-top.
Still, who could have anticipated that the reality star’s nuptials would be quite so outrageously indulgent? Her wedding cake alone reportedly cost $20,000.
According to the New York Post, the decadent dessert that will be featured at Saturday’s reception was modeled after Princess Catherine’s wedding cake, and cost, yes, 20 grand. It’s said to comprise 10 tiers of white cake plus chocolate chip frosting.
Compared to that confection, Kim’s wedding dresses might seem to be a relative bargain at $25,000 ... if that wasn’t dresses, plural. Yep, the socialite allegedly has three possible gowns in play, with each one going for $25K. A pal says the “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” star has had “like, 19 fittings” for the big day.
In other news, the Kardashian family was kind enough to rent a tux for groom Kris Humphries. Oh, we kid, we kid — congrats, kids!
The former wife of Russell Armstrong says she doesn’t blame “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” for his death — she blames the show’s star, Taylor Armstrong, who was estranged from husband Russell when he committed suicide.
“I don’t care for her at all. I think she’s the reason for this,” first wife Barbara Frederickson declared to Radar Online. “She’s not who she says she is and I told him to please be careful with this woman ... I warned him! She’s bad news and she drove him into this.”
Russell had a 14-year-old son, Aiden, with Barbara, who says they had a good relationship. “It wasn’t until the issues with this Taylor girl that it got bad.”
Of him taking his own life, she says, “I don’t think it was the show. I think [Taylor] drove him into financial stress and it just ruined him.”
The show’s season premiere was “set to premiere on Labor Day,” Bravo honcho Andy Cohen blogs, but now that’s up in the air.
“We’ll let you know what we decide when we do,” he says. “In the meantime, we’re sending our thoughts and prayers to Taylor and the rest of Russell’s family.”
Is workaholic Beyoncé ready to put her career on the back burner? After a recent brief hiatus from her nonstop career, the dynamic singer-actress tells InStyle magazine, she may opt to embrace being Mrs. Jay-Z — and maybe mama to Jay-Z Jr.
“Now, I’m a woman, and because I gave it my all, I can focus on my marriage,” Queen B explains. “I can decide I want to have kids. I can be the mother I want to be and dedicate myself to my children.”
Something tells us that if and when Beyoncé decides to become a mom, she’ll do it Angelina Jolie-style: spending plenty of quality time with the little ones, but never really taking a break from the public eye.
