Ryan Reynolds is opening up about his divorce from Scarlett Johansson — though the super-private actor won’t say exactly why the marriage failed.
“Anyone who gets divorced goes through a lot of pain, but you come out of it,” the “Green Lantern” star reflects to Details magazine. “I’m not out of it yet. At all. But I sense that as I do come through it, there’s optimism. How can there not be?”
“Any kind of crisis can be good. It wakes you up,” Ryan says. “I gotta say, I’m a different person than I was six months ago.”
He won’t go into detail about his split from Scarlett, declaring, “The media wasn’t invited to my marriage, and they’re definitely not invited into the divorce.”
But he does acknowledge that they parted ways on relatively good terms: “Departing a relationship and still maintaining the idea that this is still the same person I married is a great luxury that I experienced. Thankfully I was in a relationship where two people chose to remain on the high road in every regard.”
And though his ex is already hot and heavy with new beau Sean Penn, the actor says he hasn’t started dating again yet. “I’m very happy not to be in a relationship right now. That’s OK. I didn’t plan on it, that’s for sure ... but that’s OK.”
Though millions of women would no doubt love to join him for dinner and a movie, the heartthrob says dating “just seems so kind of alien to me at this point. I’ve been in relationships pretty much since high school. Some people look at that as a good thing. I think wiser people might see that as a house of cards.”
“I don’t think I want to get married again, but you always re-evaluate these things,” Ryan admits.
Hear that, ladies? You might have a shot!
Just because Leonardo DiCaprio was spotted getting cozy with Blake Lively doesn’t mean he’s off the market. Just a day after their stroll in Portofino, Italy, the ladies’-man actor was spotted with an attractive brunette IDed only as “Natalie” in Monaco, the New York Daily News reports.
The “Inception” star shared a cabana at the Monte Carlo Beach Club with his latest lady friend — and, in what a source said was a sign that he was “relaxed” around her, took his hat off.
Now that’s true intimacy!
Lindsay Lohan is locked up! But not really. After reporting to the Lynwood women’s correctional facility around 5 a.m. on Thursday for processing, the starlet returned home sporting her signature accessory: an electronic ankle bracelet.
However, this device won’t monitor alcohol or drug use; it’s in place to ensure she stays put at her Venice pad.
“She is now confined to the interior premises of her home at all times,” a sheriff’s rep told People magazine.
The starlet was sentenced to four months in jail, but may end up “serving” just two weeks in home confinement. When she gets out of, er, the house, she’ll have to perform 480 hours of community service, including work at a women’s shelter and a morgue.
Well, the morgue thing sounds creepy. But why do we think that spending a couple of weeks at Lindsay’s townhouse would be more like a vacation than a punishment?
