Mel Gibson wants to take custody of daughter Lucia away from ex-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva, TMZ reported.
According to court documents, the actor-director’s attorneys will appear in court Monday to ask a judge to give Mel sole custody. They’re seeking supervised visitation rights for Oksana.
The former couple has had a famously brutal court battle, with Oksana accusing Mel of assaulting her while she held their daughter, and him countering that she was shaking the child in a fit of hysteria.
Now the “Braveheart” star reportedly plans to argue that his ex’s derogatory statements about him aren’t in the child’s best interests.
That doesn’t sound to us like the best argument for taking a child away from her mother. But then, we can’t afford the kind of lawyers Mel can.
We’ve been hoping that a reconciliation between Courteney Cox and David Arquette is imminent — but has she already moved on with another man? The actress fanned rumors by vacationing with “Cougar Town” co-star Josh Hopkins in the Caribbean — they were spotted on the beach Tuesday with Courteney’s daughter, Coco.
But a rep told People magazine, “The relationship is strictly platonic and they are away with a group of friends on vacation.”
“Courteney and Josh are great friends,” a source on the set of their sitcom said. “There’s definitely nothing going on there.”
The former “Friends” star has been separated from husband David, Coco’s dad, since fall. But lately they’ve been gushing about each other, leading fans to hope their decade-plus marriage can be saved.
Katie Holmes has come under fire for some of her parenting choices — such as letting daughter Suri wear high heels, use a pacifier at age 4 and eat candy shaped like a part of the male anatomy. Wait, what was that last one?
Yes, tabloid readers were astonished when the “Kennedys” star was photographed with her darling daughter holding candy that closely resembled ... er, the body part Ken dolls don’t have.
But Katie explained it was all completely innocent.
“Recently, I took her to get ice cream in New York at this place called Serendipity that we go to all the time,” she told Ellen DeGeneres. “The clientele is children. We go in and we are waiting for a table and she grabs some gummies that are boy-part gummies. I was horrified.”
“She was holding the box and I was like, ‘OK, wow, we don’t need that right now,’” Katie said. “Because I thought if I said, ‘Put that back,’ she’s going to say, ‘What is this?’ And I really didn’t want to have that conversation. I was like, ‘Why are they selling these here? This is for kids.’ And then it was on the cover of a magazine that I’m giving her those gummies.”
OK, fine, that’s understandable — we guess. Let’s just hope this doesn’t start a kiddie trend!

Lindsay Lohan is getting ready to move into some new digs — and no, we’re not talking about prison (yet).
The L.A.-based actress “will be in New York a lot more going forward. She’s actively looking for places in the city with her younger brother, Michael,” mom Dina told the New York Daily News. “She loves it here. And she has a lot of friends who already have places, so she might sublet.”
Is it wise to relocate when she’s facing a trial on grand theft felony charges for allegedly stealing a necklace from a boutique?
DiLo is confident the beleaguered starlet will be acquitted.
“We’re taking everything one step at a time,” Dina said. “But obviously we’re all behind Lindsay on this. I watched all four hours of the [jewelry store] surveillance tape. They clearly loaned her that necklace.”
Just in case, though, Lindsay might want to line up a subletter of her own.
